Health & Why Change is Challenging

Why Change is the Challenge in Living Healthy

February 29, 202410 min read

Einstein's insanity theory; "Doing the same things, over and over again expecting different results," describes Western medicine. Cancer showed me the power of change." Kari Gray, CEO AlternaCare

Cancer showed me how powerful change is when I was diagnosed terminal with terminal liver cancer when I was just 25. It was then I chose to start learning and implementing new lifestyle decisions. At first, I didn't know anything about healthy living or how the body works, and especially not how the immune system works. There are millions, maybe billions of people just like I was in 1988, so I get it if you're new to this space.

But in time, I committed to changing my lack of health education and creating a new lifestyle and I got a second chance in life because I embraced changing every part of my lifestyle.

I believe living health undereducated is a luxury we can no longer afford. It's why COVID-19 became what it was for people who were immune compromised. While you may have heard the term, 'immune-compromised' understanding it is crucial to great health.

To illustrate; think of war. To win needs an army of trained soldiers. This is what our immune system is; a microscopic army that creates our defense system. That's called our innate and adaptive natural immunity and that is what protects us from invasive viruses, bacteria, or other pathogens.

Immunity protects us which is why we need our immune system like our army, as the first line of defense. It must be strong because, like the expression, 'a chain is only as strong as its weakest link,' if we are immune compromised, we've lost the battle before it started. That's a very dangerous place to be in a post-COVID-19 world.

It's the place that we don't want to be because every couple of years there's been another outbreak.

Fear ends when empowered people know the truth

If all of our immune systems were strong, it wouldn't matter; no one would be susceptible. This is why I want to share some of what I've learned when I faced a life-changing diagnosis of terminal liver cancer. While cancer is called the unthinkable, it is for a reason. Most people don't want to think about it because they're scared, confused, and intimidated.

I was one of those people.

When life threw me off the deep end I choose to not accept the diagnosis. That change happened after many prayers, and prayer is something I can't recommend enough. If you are a person of prayer, praying for the wisdom to know what to do to navigate health issues is key when faced with a health crisis.

If you're not a person of prayer, learning to become one is a crucial change that will improve your life and health. The power of prayer is proven by science, but I'll save that discussion for it's own post.

After prayer and a mindset shift, began the search for a holistic health practitioner who would be a voice of hope. I found that voice and she coached me after I was given no medical chance of survival. She gave me a list of changes I needed to make for a chance at recovery.

Cancer is the 'straw that breaks the camel's back', it is cellular dysfunction that takes years of wrong decisions, exposures, traumas, parasites, stress, toxins, etc. before a diagnosis.

Today, after the COVID-19 jab, cancer is now termed turbo cancer being reported from spike proteins with no off switch.

This is why this post is dedicated to looking at many reasons (outside of the toxins in COVID injections) that health issues happen, and why the challenge for change BEFORE a health crisis diagnosis, is our superpower.

It seems for some whose doctor tells them "you've got to change" this or that, are resistant to change. It seems no one wants the bad news about their bad diet and lifestyle. That's one reason we're resistant to change, because of the way we think.

"I can't change, I'm too old to change. I don't know where to start to change," makes change hard.

Why is change challenging?

Change that lasts has to start with the way we think, because what we believe, we achieve. When we think something's too hard, it is. Saying it's hard is self-defeating and we doom success before we start..

Ever heard the expression , 'Old habits die hard?" Yes. old habits do die hard because not only are we a creature of habit, but for some there's an addiction element. That's a reality for some who are addicted to alcohol and like to medicate emotional pain. Others have food addictions and eat their emotions.

I know these are some of the challenges I've faced in my life and I'm still working on. As creatures of habit, we get stuck in ruts. What we need is to see ourselves with a fresh lens, rewiring our brain with empowering thoughts;

  • I can do this

  • I am not my past

  • I release all negative emotions that don't serve me now.

Yes, I can do this" is a first step of change. Lack of changed thinking is why diets and resolutions don't work long-term because if thinking doesn't change, then nothing really changes.

So for change to be achievable, it takes working on the way we speak, think, and feel down to the subconscious. When we look into the subconscious what manifests is not only in the things we dream, but in the conversations we have with others and ourselves.

Have you heard of 'stinking thinkin?'

What happens when in childhood when toxic people speak toxic words we as children internalize, changes our belief system as it hardwires us with new, dysfunctional beliefs. In order to overwrite the faulty system, we have to use repetition to rewire the brain.

That's the awesome part of being an adult; when we have the maturity to chose what we no longer serves us, and we can chose what we let stay in our head is an empowering reality. Hooray for adulting!

There's a lot of things on this topic, this is definitely not the the final conversation, but it provides another reason why change is challenging for many people.

When it comes to changing our lifestyle to improving immune health, an immune system suppressed, needs help. To illustrate, let's say you lived in a, in ancient times and your whole protection was living inside of a walled city. You know your protection is inside those walls. But what if the doors are left wide open?

How protective is your walled city?

We're completely vulnerable to enemy attack if we were in that situation. Our immune system is our walled city. It is the reason we're alive today. It's the reason we have any measure of health and immunity 70% of the time is the trillions of microscopic beings inside of us.

Called the microbiome is like a library of instructions that live on our skin, in our mouth, and primarily in our digestive tract. This library of microbes is so vast, it's like our own Library of Congress inside us.

If we are healthy, it's like a titanium vault as it has a record of all the viruses and bacteria we've come in contact with and many more we haven't, and when there's an invader, our immune system goes on high alert and recognizes it as foreign, and launches an attack.

This is the reason why if we are immune system strong, viruses or diseases like autoimmune conditions, the body can self correct with the immune system. If we are immune-compromised what do we do to create a change in our immunity?

While there are many causes and many strategies, this list is a few examples of what works to restore immune health and why changing lifestyle is the key to success.

How to get the body to self correct?

Here are a few key ways;

  • Build immunity with fermented foods

  • Lower stress

  • Proper Hydration

  • Eliminate junk food

  • Get sufficient sleep

  • Detoxify your life

  • Move

  • Release negative emotions

  • Parasite cleanse

  • Lower toxin level

Doing research on this topic, makes clear toxins destroy microbes, and block cells receptors so there's no communicating in the cells and that creates the opening for mutant cells. Since World War II, petrochemicals have been introduced that we're ingesting in GMO's and conventionally grown produce which has pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, etc., and these wreck havoc on the microbores we need for immunity.

In addition, toxin exposure is at a level never known in human history. A conservative estimate is 80,000 petrochemicals have been created in the last 75 years, and only a few thousand have even been tested for safety, and fewer have been removed because they are a health hazard. That's for a single ingredient, now, if you look at you many products; do you see a long list of ingredients. The combination of ingredients takes the toxin load exposure into the stratosphere.

Like everyone wearing headphones and nobody listening to each other, is what's happening in our cells when they can't communicate because of toxins block the receptors on the cell.

Healthy Cell = Healthy You

So make it your goal to get rid of as many toxins from your life as possible. This is a simple change that creates impact like using essential oils to replace chemical products. When our toxin load is lowered, it helps our immune system.

While detoxing is a common topic, don't be fooled by a three-day detox or seven-day detox, because that's not how detoxing works. A true detox includes diet changes, toxin reduction, stress reduction, detoxifying supplements and lifestyle changes. We don't accumulate toxins overnight, and we're not going to get rid of them overnight either.

This is why we're here to empower you, to educate you, to enlighten you so that you know how to be your own advocate and live a prevention lifestyle. What we have is a so-called 'healthcare system' that's a trillion-dollar industry who's wealth is from being deceitful, dishonest, dysfunctional, disconnected and disempowering.

They don't want people to know how to be healthy because your illness is their profit. Illness is where their money is made.

Let me quantify, there are many people saving lives and we love them and are thankful they are there doing what they do That's not who I'm talking about; it's the people at the top making decisions that put profits over people.

Google what is said by Wall Street about curing disease. The healthcare system can't afford to cure disease, says Wall Street. Does that tell you where the problem is?

If you can't afford to cure disease, your business model is exploiting human suffering. That's the reason why we must stop feeding the monster and that's why we're here to help you know how.

There's a lot of misinformation in health, there's a lot of things told to us by 'trustworthy sources.' until you dig and what you find is, there's a lot of money shifting hands between organizations, and when that happens, integrity is lost once again, and medical misinformation is the result because it fuels the profit machine.

Our position is to be an advocate for you, to empower you to realize that you don't have to be paralyzed by confusion, or overwhelm.

We're here to help you so that wellness, not illness is your destination.
